The company was founded in Florence, South Carolina in 2008 to do one thing well: collect reliable health readings from a person’s home each day, have a nurse look at them, and get the important ones in front of that person’s physician quickly enough to matter.
How the service works
- The physician directs the care
- Readings go to the person’s own primary care physician. That physician stays responsible for every clinical decision. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or change treatment.
- A nurse reviews the readings
- Readings are collected at set times each day and reviewed by a licensed nurse. This is scheduled review, not continuous surveillance, and the equipment does not watch or listen to the home.
- The equipment stays in the home
- We install the equipment in the person’s residence, train the household to use it, and keep it working. Repair and replacement are our responsibility.
- The person keeps control
- Health information is sent at the scheduled time and is not stored on the device or visible to anyone else in the home.
